Calendar Sale

In Spring of 2011, em[POWER] held a calendar fundraiser to help children of these waste scavenging communities. At our project sites in Pakistan and Bangladesh, the children have an opportunity to attend a school specifically established to provide them with basic education. Unfortunately, these schools are underfunded and under supplied. By purchasing one of our calendars, you helped support the education of these children. The Rutgers student chapter of em[POWER] ran a successful books and school supplies drive, allowing us to have boxes of supplies ready to be shipped overseas. With the money raised from the calendars, we were able to cover the costs needed to ship these supplies overseas. In addition, the money raised helped us further raise awareness of the issues surrounding these communities and to fund other community development initiatives.
