Nasir Uddin – President

“To attain success is to laugh often and much, to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children, to appreciate beauty, to find the best in others, to leave the world a bit better, to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived.” Nasir has spent over 10 years dedicated to starting and running not-for-profit organizations that supports variety of topics from STEM enrichment for minorities in New Jersey to poverty alleviation projects internationally.

Nasir got his Master in Biomedical Engineering and Business through Master in Business and Science program at Rutgers University. As Nasir continued to be instrumental in transforming the model of em[POWER] Energy Group, an organization dedicated to merging renewable resource technology with co-operative development in developing countries; the organization expanded to 4 active countries with 3 developing countries and a staff of over 100 globally. He helped the organization raise over $50K in 2013 with awards such as Henry P. Becton Volunteer Impact Award and Coca-Cola Scholar Foundation Social Entrepreneurship Award.

In his spare time, Nasir serves on the Trustee Board of Youth Achiever’s Committee, Industry Advisor for Florida PolyTechnic University, Founding Steering Committee for Young Non-Profit Professions of NJ, Chief Innovation Officer for Momin Consulting, and mentor for Clinton Global Initiative University and Lean Startup Machine. He believes that the stepping stone to alleviating global poverty is through sustainable development from interdisciplinary professionals.
